Chess Competition
Here are the details for Mr Sharland’s competition. He needs you to design a certificate to be presented to each child that takes part in the Lochinver House School U13 Chess Tournament that will take place in March.
It should be A4 size and must include these pieces of information:
- Lochinver House School Chess Tournament
- Wednesday 26th May 2014
- U13
- Tournament organiser: S Sharland
- Tournament Manager: Chris Cook
- Awarded to ______________
- If possible, include a small photo of yourself
Make your certificate colourful and striking. Proof read it carefully and ask yourself ‘How does it look? How does it read?’
Email it to your teacher by 12th March and then hand in a paper copy too.

Half Term Homework
Just a reminder that the boys have the following homework over the holiday:-
- Danube mini project (just a page of A4!) – the PowerPoint is attached to this post
- Finish reading ‘Krindlekrax’
- Finish courage writing
- An optional (though strongly recommended) maths worksheet

Bishop’s Stortford College Science Action Centre
Yesterday we were lucky enough to be able to visit Bishop’s Stortford College Science Action Centre. The boys had a great time, and I am sure they will have told their families all about it. They were impeccably behaved and were fantastic ambassadors for Lochinver House School. Well done boys!
