On Saturday 4th February, two LHS U9 Chess teams took part in the National School Chess Zonal Championships and Team A (5 players) won second prize with 18.5 out of 25 points. They lost to Haberdashers’ Boys Team A (23 points). Radlett Prep’s Team A was third with 15.5. It was a wonderful achievement and all the boys did so well. Team B of LHS had some new players who got their first experience of participating in a tournament and they all put in such a good effort, even though they were one player short. Team B (4 players) got 6 points.

The team members were
